Destiny ...

What is destiny? Does everyone who is born into this earth have a predetermined destiny or is it something that is developed along the way. The problem with destiny is that it tends to steer people in the direction that they are told to be and not what they want to be.

The way I see it, the mind is a powerful tool and if you think that you are for example, destined to be poor, you will never spend any effort into looking for avenues for riches. This in turn "fulfills" your destiny of being poor. So, I guess it boils down to a state of mind? Ponder-upon this ...
