"Feng Shui"

"Feng Shui" that is traditionally popular in Asian countries have recently even penetrated the Western countries as a form of art. Some people have taken it a step further by strictly following this "practice" and I've even heard of people demolishing portions of their house/company just so that it is "Feng Shui" friendly.

Is this "art" being taken too seriously? If you really think about it, some of the things that "Feng Shui" encourages is really common sense that makes things more pleasant to live/work in. However, there are many cases where people are buying funny ornaments like a golden chicken, golden buffalo, etc. and this is getting a little overboard. In fact, there are some that intentionally use those ornaments to mean harm to someone else just so that it keeps them safe ... to me this is going overboard.

If you really think about it, is "Feng Shui" really just helping you to get a pleasant house/company to live/work in or is it something that you allow to run your life. I choose the former as it is nice to know "Feng Shui" and all of its "benefits" but I think you should not let it run your day-to-day life ... after all, everything is just a state of mind and if you think you are living/working in a good environment (even if "Feng Shui" tells you otherwise), you will do just fine ...

Ponder-upon this!
